Despite a cold (41degrees) day with gusty winds and on-and-off rain, and a parking fee, we had a nice turnout on Saturday. Including workers, we had attendance of 66, and several parties tried the sport for the first time.
Thanks to Dick and Nancy Neuburger, Paul Clatterbuck, and Dick Luckerman for vetting several days earlier when the weather was much better. Dick Neuburger and Paul Clatterbuck handled starts and finishes, and provided beginner instruction the day of the event, and Nick Hockman worked registration and brought snacks. The Barrett family took charge of control pickup. A special thank-you to Dick Neuburger for supplying the far away water stop, and Kevin Shipley for providing a base map.
