Five enthusiastic new orienteers learned about the basics in this 3-hour beginner clinic held at Ernie Miller Nature Park on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Dick and Paul taught how to use orienteering maps and magnetic compasses to find their way through the unfamilar park. The participants then completed a WHITE - level course. The weather was a bit challenging: temperature 40 degrees, with some moderate snow showers.
